A. A. Medvedkov, S. P. Gorshkov

Abstract

Geographical regionalization is a most important type of spatial analysis providing for the comparative geographical description of the regions and the obvious demonstration of natural and economic structure of the territory under study. The article deals with the characteristics of resulting landscape-geoecological regions (LGR) which could be applicable for studying the climate change problem and the response of geosystems to a temperature signal. The most vulnerable natural-territorial complexes (NTC) at the hierarchical level of complex urochishches are distinguished within each region. The regionalization of such kind made it possible to indicate representative key sites for their further investigation using field and remote sensing methods.
